HIALEAH, FL. - The men's soccer team, led by Head Coach J.C. Gonzalez, looks to clinch its first Region VIII playoff berth in the young programs history. Last year, Daytona State took home the regional crown, earning them a spot in the 2016 NJCAA Division I Championship.
ASA will start their 2017 season with three scrimmages which are all in August. The first of three scrimmages is set for August 15th at home against Webber International University JV. Home matches will played at Ted Hendricks Stadium in Hialeah, Florida.
This year, Coach Gonzalez is looking forward to watching the roster he's put together and how they will gel together. "We went out and left no stone unturned in our recruitment. We are always looking student-athletes that can come in and compete at a high level." Gonzalez said. "We feel that we have a lot to offer recruits. We practice every day in the beautiful South Florida climate. During the summer, we train on the beach. We will play against some of the best competition at the two-year level, and most important, we will make sure you graduate."
