HIALEAH, FL. - Andrea Romero was a key contributor during the 2016 season for the ASA Miami women's soccer program. Last season would be the first in the school's history, while playing as a club team. Romero, the team captain, played well enough to earn herself a professional contract with the Gallos Blancos de Querétaro in Mexico. Her new team is a member of the Liga MX Femenil. Romero is a native of Distrito Federal, México and will play the forward position for the Gallos.

David Luna, the ASA Miami women's soccer coach did not coach Romero last season. "With Andrea signing a professional contract in Mexico, it goes to show how many opportunities there are for young women to continue their soccer careers all over the world." Coach Luna said.
